It's expensive compared to pizza where I live in northern Italy. We don't really load down a pizza with lots of ingredients normally, but even considering the exchange rate difference that's quite a lot. I get a wood fired pancetta e grana (Italian bacon and parmigiano reggiano cheese) or a Pugliese (onion and spicy salami) more or less equivalent to a 14 " pizza for 5.50 to 6 euro there.
